As of the writing of this blog post, we are just 25 short days away from our 24th annual Skinny Tire Festival, offered as either a 4-day or 2-day cycling extravaganza in Moab, Utah! Being so close to the event, and with many still contemplating attending, we wanted to share some participant details and viewpoints to help set the scene.
2025 Participant Fun Facts
Part of why offering these cycling events in Moab is so fun year after year is the connections with people we are lucky enough to make. Some participants will be returning for the 12th, 13th, or even 14th Skinny Tire Festival! And of course, a large chunk will be attending for the very first time. Whether you are a route expert or a route newbie, here are some fun facts about your fellow cyclists:
We have cyclists ranging in age from 18 to 83.
We have cyclists traveling from 37 different states.
We have cyclists traveling from 3 different Canadian Provinces.
We have an even split between cyclists who identify as male or female.
10 tandem and 2 recumbent bikes are registered.
We have over 113 returning cyclists from 2024!
We have over 130 merchandise items pre-sold (If you are registered, don’t forget to add your merch. Our inventory is locked!)

Some of our past participants enjoy making summary videos of their rides - and we are glad they do! It’s such a fun way, especially for first-time participants, to have a glimpse of what it’s like to ride in Moab. Below are some of our favorites we’ve found. You can view more on YouTube.
