Planning Your Trip to Moab
The Skinny Tire Festival is just 17 short days away! Here is some helpful information for planning your trip into Moab!
LODGING
Our host hotel, the Aarchway Inn, is sold out for the weekend.
Don’t fret!
There are still some options available for you to check out:
Red Cliffs Lodge
If you prefer to stay away from the downtown hustle and bustle and have incredible red rock views your entire stay, this is the place! Situated 14 miles from the event headquarters, Red Cliffs has a beautiful property, full restaurant and winery, pool and exercise room, and an incredible (and free!) movie museum located on the property.
Brand new in late 2019, this hotel and conference center is located one short block from the intersection of main street and center street! Dine at the in-hotel Josie Wyatt’s Grill, or walk downtown for coffee, lunch, shopping and more.
Prefer to cook your own meals? Want a little more privacy? We get it. Moab happens to have dozens and dozens of nightly rental options for you to choose from. These can be especially economical if you are attending the Skinny with a group, and want to pool your resources for lodging. Here are two popular search locations.
Moab has quite literally hundreds and hundreds of campgrounds! From commercial properties to BLM and forest service campgrounds, to state parks in the area. Many of the public lands campsites are first come first serve, however many of the commercial campgrounds offer reservations.
If you like minimalist tent camping with amazing access to downtown, check out Up The Creek Campground.

BIKE RENTALS
Are you flying in for the event and would like to rent a bike? We have two great options for you!
The great folks at Bike Fiend have been renting road bikes to our cyclists for years. They are located in downtown Moab.
Brown Cycles, Grand Junction, Colorado
Flying into Grand Junction is a popular option, as it is the closest regional airport to Moab at 90 minutes away. If you are flying into GJ and need to rent a bike for the event, consider swinging by Brown Cycles before you head to Moab.
TRANSPORTATION
If you are wanting to fly into Moab, you have 3 options:
Moab Canyonlands Airport
Yes! We have an airport. United Express flies directly into Moab via Denver.
Grand Junction Regional Airport
Located 90 minutes from Moab, GJ is our closest regional airport.
Salt Lake City
Our closest international airport, SLC is about a 4-hour drive from Moab.
If flying in for the event, consider using Moab Express for your airport shuttle or other shuttle needs. They offer airport shuttles for both the Moab and Grand Junction airports.
Car Rental Options
Moab offers a couple car rental options:
Canyonlands Jeep - They offer both Jeep and car rentals.
Enterprise Car Rental - Offering airport and in town rental options.
