What to expect when attending the 2024 Moab Century Tour
Moab Century Tour Details
As of the writing of this blog post, the Moab Century Tour is just 41 days away! For those of you perhaps on the fence, we thought we would give you a more detailed look into the weekend’s events, the routes, the host hotel, and more.
A thorough timed-out itinerary will be emailed to all registered cyclists within 7 days of the event.
This communication is more like the menu of what’s to come. :)
Pre-Event
Our forever gracious host hotel - The Aarchway Inn - is where we will once again stage our event rider check-in, ride starts, emergency personnel, and all things Moab Century Tour. The Aarchway Inn also offers all registered cyclists a sweet discount rate! You have to call to request the rate and check availability. (435-259-2599) The Aarchway Inn is just north of the hustle and bustle of the downtown main street, providing an amazing space to spread out, clean your bike, stretch, and take in the amazing canyon wall views. Friday before the event, we will be setup in the afternoon at the Aarchway Inn for rider check-in. Here, cyclists can make sure they are registered for the event (wristbands required on route), receive the necessary cycle items (like helmet tags!), get route map information, and maybe even a small token of appreciation from us (wink wink.)
This is also an opportunity for you to meet the organizers, pick-up pre-purchased merchandise, view maps, ask questions and mingle with other cyclists.

Bike Mechanic
A bike mechanic will be available Friday afternoon for light wrenching at rider check-in.
Day 1- Dead Horse Point State Park

What Will I See?
Towering Canyon walls, Arches entrance, dinosaur museum, mesas, and grand canyon-worthy views in the state park.
Snacks will be available at DHPSP and all aid stations.
Great For: Cyclists who want a challenge on day 1, to be rewarded with epic views from the top, and who like to coast on newer pavement and a smooth bike path on the return.
Support: There will be 3 aid stations, as well as roving SAG vehicles.

We’re Here For You!
Along the routes we have aid stations fully stocked with food, water, repair kits, radio communication team and smiling faces to help you meet your goals! We also have support vehicles on route to aid cyclists too far from a station.
Day 1 - Post-Cycling
After your ride, join your fellow participants back at the Aarchway Inn and enjoy a plentiful hot lunch served by our friends at Have Cooker, Will Travel. There will be plenty of hydration options, food choices, places to enjoy your meal in the shade or sun, and stories of 60 miles that were (or weren’t, it’s cool) conquered! We will also have live music on the stage for your entertainment.
We will also have a mechanic available for light wrenching.
Sit back and reminisce on the ride with some great food, great music, and great company. (And don’t forget, if you stay at the Aarchway - pool or hot tub time!)
Enjoy a hot lunch and musical entertainment after the ride! A massage therapist will also be on site.

Day 2 - Bull Canyon Overlook Route

New For 2024!
This out-and-back route is worthy of your cycling resume! Cyclists will head down scenic Highway 128, locally known as “River Road” - aptly named as you carve through the canyon parallel to the Colorado River. We’ll turn onto Castleton Road and slowly build our ascent as we climb through and past Castle Valley.
After a powerful climb, we’ll hit our peak at one of our favorite (and lesser known) vistas, The Bull Canyon Overlook, located on Fisher Mesa. Here you can take in the incredible views and even walk to some real dinosaur tracks, before heading back towards our starting point.
This is a truly unique route that will only be available for our 2024 event! There will be three aid stations on the route, roving SAG support, and an endless amount of photo-op locations from canyon walls, to river overlooks to high-altitude terrain…to yes, dino tracks. 🦕

Day 2 - Post Cycling
Post ride we’ll once again have a spread of hydration, snacks, and a hot lunch provided by Have Cooker, Will Travel - sure to satisfy your well-earned hunger from that epic climb! They make amazing food, and will be sure to have plenty of carnivore and vegetarian, options available.
A massage therapist will also be on-site during lunch to work out all those climbing kinks.
Cyclists can gather, purchase any remaining merchandise they may want, provide feedback from the event and enjoy the comrodary before planning their travel back home.
