What to do in Moab
Some Fun Moab Activities to Consider
(When Not on your bike!)
We know so many of you are gearing up for the Skinny Tire Festival this March and planning your trip to Moab! Or perhaps you are signed up for the Moab Century Tour in September and are researching options for your trip this fall! Either way, we wanted to make sure you knew about some of the awesome things you can do in Moab, when you aren’t cycling epic routes. We designed this list with our cyclists in mind.
Things to do in Moab, Utah
Canyoneering
If this is your first time to Moab, or you live in the eastern or central time zones, and traveling to Moab is a once-in-a-decade opportunity, we think you should consider adding Canyoneering to your trip itinerary for a truly unique experience. Not for the faint of heart, this unique to canyon country activity will challenge your comfort zone, work your body in a different way, and leave you with an entirely new perspective of the canyon walls you cycled past during the event. Be sure to check out the view at 2m59s in the above video!

Scenic Flight
If traveling to Moab just for our event with little or no days to spare before or after, consider treating yourself to a scenic flight! This is an amazing way to cover miles and miles of unique geology in a short amount of time. And as the video shows you, the views are pretty darn epic.
Zipline Adventure
Perhaps you have ziplined somewhere tropical before, or maybe you have never worn a harness. Either way, we invite you to watch the video above, to see what makes ziplining in Moab a bit different. Plus, this memorable activity starts right off of Main street in Moab (close to our host hotel in fact!), making it a great way to end your day.
Hiking
“On the ground please!” Okay, okay we hear you. :) If you prefer to see a new area from the ground, we have some great options for you as well! Let’s start with hiking. Of course, we have two of the most amazing National Parks in our country, with Arches National Park and Canyonlands. However, here are a few local hikes we like that are close to town, dog friendly, and still offer amazing views.
Corona Arch
Fisher Towers (image at top of page)
Grandstaff Canyon
Slickrock Trail - Practice Loop (mountain bikers on trail as well)
Dinosaur Park
If you will be traveling to Moab with kids in tow, be sure to consider adding the Moab Giants as a stop on your vacation. You drive by this park on your way into town, and we guarantee you’ll do a second take as you drive by. These to-scale dinosaurs are an incredible site to see! This park has both indoor and outdoor activities, as well as a cafe on site.
Hummer Tour
This option covers all the items we hit on above: Epic views, unique experience of red rock, family friendly, and accessible. Moab offers a variety of outfits ready to take you and your friends on a thrilling red rock hummer tour. Often available in half-day or sunset packages, these are always a crowd pleasing activity.
Find an Outfitter (Click the 4-wheel option)
