Who is Barry Stokes?
Since 2006 Coach Barry has helped people like you accomplish their endurance based athletic goals. The goal may be to learn to ride a bike, run a half-marathon, climb Mt. Rainer, race a mountain bike or complete an Olympic or Ironman® distance triathlon. What ever the goal, Coach Barry keeps it Fresh, Fun & Focused!
In February 2011 Coach Barry ended a successful 35+ year career in Orthopedic Medical Device Sales and Distribution by retiring from the industry. On March 1, 2011 Coach Barry became a full time triathlon & endurance athlete coach and is pursuing his passion.
Barry has been a long time participant, volunteer, sponsor, guest speaker, and overall amazing friend of the Skinny Tire Festival!
Training Program Details
A 4.5-month training plan developed specifically for the 4-day Moab Skinny Tire Festival. The plan includes appropriate rest days, suggested & targeted core + leg strength workouts, a few run (or sub a walk) days weekly and of course appropriate amounts of weekly riding to have you physically and mentally ready for each day’s ride during the 4-day event.
