Kirk Golba from Grand Junction, Colorado writes: "I had a LIVESTRONG yard sale and made $1000 last Saturday for LAF.  I received many donations from parents and community so it was really successful.  I have a proclamation that our mayor is going to read for LiveStrong Day and our regional hospital also has some LiveStrong Day activities planed for the 13th through our Oncology department".

Provo and Orem, Utah - LIVESTRONG Day Written by BethL on 2008-05-07 13:23:42 From Vicki Fletcher:    I just read the Skinny Tire newsletter and thought I would let you know about my LIVESTRONGâ„¢ Day.    The Mayor of Provo, Lewis K. Billings and the Mayor of Orem, Jerry C. Washburn are proclaiming May 13, 2008 LIVESTRONGâ„¢ Day.    Also on May 13, I will have a LIVESTRONGâ„¢ Day Awareness/Fundraising booth at the Orem Walmart from 11:00am to 5:00pm.    I will have handouts on prevention and survivorship, sunscreen samples, LiveSTRONG wristbands, balloons and trinkets for kids, and a"Cookies for a Cure" bake sale. I think it will be a great day, for a great cause. I think the Daily Herald is doing an article about LIVESTRONGâ„¢ Day and my event.
