Kathleen Carrico - Spirt of Survivorship Award - "This award is symbolic of how far I have come from the dark, early days of hopelessness and fear which cancer brings. Events like the SKINNY provide an opportunity for us to do something; thank you for providing a forum to celebrate surviving, raising money for a good cause, and awareness of what one person can accomplish". Joshua Fogelson - Messenger Award and 2nd place Top Fundraiser - "What an incredible privilege and honor it is to both ride through gorgeous red rock of Moab and to raise funds to support the LAF and the Moab Cancer Treatment and Resource Center.  I feel truly blessed to make my small contribution to the work of these great organizations by offering my friends and colleagues the opportunity to improve the lives of those living with cancer.  I plan to return to Moab each and every year with new contributions and great energy, ready to ride and to make a difference"!
Flint Ogle - 1st Place Top Fundraiser - "For me, the STF is such a great outlet. After seeing so many friends and family members touched by cancer, the best way I know to honor them is to encourage even one person to have the pre-screening that detects a problem early enough to heal it, or to contribute to the R&D that finds a better treatment option or cure."

Simon Poulter - 3rd Place Top Fundraiser - "I decided to make this ride the focus of my 50th Birthday celebration.  Instead of a party and gifts I asked that people donate to the Skinny Tire Event.  This outstanding event allowed me to celebrate an important personal milestone while recognizing my father's life long dedication to fighting cancer as a radiation oncologist and the loss of my mother in law to colon cancer".

Mike Kurtz - 4th Place Top Fundraiser - I wanted to honor my late father Kenn Cutter who passed away October 2007.  Even though he was my mom's third husband I truly believed him to be my father. He taught me everything about being an adult. Work hard, Respect others and Know who you are. Read more at Mike's blog, http://www.orenmk.com/.
