Ninth Year Print E-mail

The Moab Skinny Tire Festival celebrates its ninth year of providing inspiring road cycling tours in canyon country.  Moved to the second weekend in March, we are hopeful the temperatures prove a bit warmer than recent years past.

The first day of riding will begin on Saturday along the River Portal Road, followed by Sunday's route to Dead Horse Point State Park, and ending with Arches National Park on Monday for the first 400 registrants choosing the Full Festival of three days.

Book your lodging now, register, and begin to fundraise, or write a check yourself.  As usual, this event is a fundraiser for cancer survivorship programs. The first $50 of each rider's donation will benefit the Moab Cancer Treatment Center. The balance of any and all fundraising will benefit whomever you choose!  Teams with open membership have already been formed for these beneficiaries:

  • Moab Cancer Treatment and Resource Center
  • The Huntsman Cancer Foundation (cancer research)
  • The Caring Friends Foundation Supporting the San Juan Cancer Center
  • Hospice Palliative Care of Western Colorado
  • The Triumph Fitness Program at UC Davis Cancer Center
  • The Lance Armstrong Foundation
