MoabCent07_286LiveSTRONG....the trademark slogan of the Lance Armstrong Foundation is also an attitude about living life to its fullest.  Research has proven an attitude of gratitude is instrumental in living a healthful life on many levels.  Given the approaching holiday, we asked a few cyclists to share what they are thankful for.

"I am thankful for having my ass handed to me on Saturday rides. Now that's a little crass but it's the truth. I've got much to be thankful for."

Thom

"I am thankful for friends that are always willing to lend an ear when you need it most!"

Coach Rhonda

"I am grateful for many things in my life:
great health at 58 years old
my wife and how she constantly encourages me
        great friends
a good family growing up with lot's of love
        tons of energy
the ability to suffer in aerobic sports
the good sense to use all the talents that he gods gave me
a very positive attitude(nothing seems to bother me)
        not taking myself too seriously
the gift of compassion that I have been working on for years
Siena and of course her parents and brother
little Bianca without whom I would not know unquestionable love
a hot tub as it keeps my back loose
a bit of money in the bank
        food on the table"

Eddie
"I'm a turkey if...... I don't realize how good I have it. I live in a paid for house in the  boonies in S.E. Utah with a happy marriage and a happy dog!!!!!!

I'm a turkey if......
I think my mountain bike won't do. It's old .... out dated.... looks
funky. What gratefulness half the world would give for that thing!!!!!

I'm a turkey if......
I'm not grateful that I wake up in the morning with good health."

Scott M.

"I am thankful for sunrises as they herald the new day, and remind me of the promises that can be filled while the sun is up. Sunrises are the benchmark of our time here on earth. To count sunrises, not sunsets gives me the optimist's view of life. I.E. is the glass half full, or half empty? My glass is full, full, full...."

Claire
"I am thankful for big t !@#@ (editors note: large mammary glands found on an adult female), good cookin' and beer."

Matt

Life is short. Break the rules . Forgive quickly. Kiss slowly. Love truly
Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.
