In cycling circles "living life to its fullest" also at times requires surviving life.  If you haven't heard about Saul Raisin yet, take a moment to read famed photographer Graham Watson's description of this young man.
Tour_de_Life_cover"In my working capacity, I've met so many American kids racing in Europe who want to become the next Lance Armstrong, yet most of them are only dreaming, and do not have the talent. Saul Raisin had the talent, that much was for sure, yet only now do I realise he also had the toughness and resilience to see that ambition succeed. Those same characteristics have seen Raisin recover form near-death to the point where a future Tour de France ride is still a distinct possibility - I fully expect the world of cycling to hear more from Saul Raisin in the coming years. His is a story as remarkable and brave as anything Greg LeMond or Armstrong had to contend with." -Graham

In the book "Tour de Life, From Coma to Competition" author Dave Shields tells the story of pro cyclist Saul Raisin who in 2006 almost died.  This is the story not merely of Saul's miraculous return to life, but of the awe-inspiring resumption of his quest to race.  Dave will be at the Moab Century Tour speaking at the Pasta Dinner Friday night and available for autographs Saturday afternoon.  Read more....please visit http://www.TourdeLife.us .
