As the usual Moab Century Tour planning and preparation begin their inevitable intensity I feel a tug at my heart that is balanced only by the excitement and anticipation of my pending journey. I'm not sure that I have yet fully accepted that I will not be here for this year's ride and it catches me off guard how much joy being a part of these great events brings to me. I will so miss not meeting the newcomers to our event and see the familiar faces of the many of you who have become like family.

So as I finish up the small amount of assistance I can provide here for Team Skinny, and as each of you get in those last few weeks of training for the Big Nasty, I want to say thanks to my team Mark, Beth, Phyllis, Tom, Eddie, Scott and all of the wonderful others. Your support and understanding is overwhelming; you are all so very dear to me and I love you. And to each of you that are joining us for this year's ride, from my heart: Thank you for coming! I wish each of you a safe, gratifying and spectacular ride. Please know that though I will be half a world away in the Himalayan mountain range, and deep in living a long time dream, a part of me will definitely be here in Moab with each of you and I will see you back here for The Skinny...\
