Hold a "Rotten Gift Sale". Like they say with garage sales, your junk is someone else's treasure! So, who are you to call someone's taste buds foul (maybe your neighbor or best friend) as they smack their lips in delight of one of your rotten gifts. Perhaps you might want to call your sale something else, just a thought. I say don't exchange, rearrange. That is, rearrange your thinking about the gift. If it doesn't fit, or isn't the right color, or you can't figure out how it works, use it to raise money towards your fundraising goals at the Skinny '07. Maybe you could go in with others who look like their harvest produced a few rotten ones like yours. Bet they'd feel great about helping you out!

Here's another thought for all you football fans. Super Bowl is just around the corner. If you're hosting a Super Bowl party, ask for a donation as a cover charge. To say 'thanks', put everyone's name into a drawing to win one or two (you have 3?!) of your rotten gifts. If you're attending a Super Bowl party, suggest the host do the above to support your fundraising efforts and offer to provide the rotten gift should they not have one (or can't admit it). You could easily raise enough dollars to earn one of our custom designed event jerseys.

Remember, fundraising can be fun. A little humor brings levity to a hard issue like cancer. When we crack a smile, that's recovery enough to then go the distance. Fundraising is not begging. It is a purposeful action that can change the world. Keep in mind that friends, family, and co-workers can often feel hurt by you not involving them in your fundraising efforts. They are likely touched by cancer too in some way, just looking for an opportunity to do something about it. Don't let them down.
