This Year's Exclusive Rides:
Day One |
Saturday, March 1st
Colorado River Canyon Ride 51 miles.
The official name of the road is Scenic Byway 128. We ride upstream along the Colorado River. The swiftness and rapids attract the rafter and kayaker who will be seen throughout the day testing their abilities in harmony with the current. The road matches the river's more playful character as it rolls over small hills and around winding curves. You will follow the River to a turn-around point and return to Moab along side the mighty Colorado.

Day Two |
Sunday, March 2nd
Dead Horse Point State Park 58 or 44 miles.
Even if you've never been here, you've seen Dead Horse Point. Dozens of commercials and numerous movies profile this area. Thelma and Louise launched their T-bird off the cliff here, Mission Impossible 2 showed Tom Cruise (or his stunt double) dangling precipitously above deep redrock canyons. For riders, this is one of the “Festival Favorites”, with its breathtaking views, generous bike lane and almost no cars besides our support vehicles. The route will gradually gain 2,500 ft on the way up from town or 1,700 ft. from the junction of Highway 191 and 313. Like any good tour, the festival will wind up with a descent back to the start.

Day Three |
Monday, March 3rd
The River Portal Ride, 37 miles, minimal elevation gain.

Highway 279 is a favorite among local roadies because of its unbroken cadence. After passing through "The Portal," the Colorado River begins its cut through the impressive sandstone. The road meanders alongside the tranquil river, maintaining a flat profile through some of the most astounding topography imaginable. Redrock walls rise hundreds of feet straight up from the shoulder of the road as it cuts tightly along the river. For miles you'll spot climbers plying the walls next to 1,000-year-old Anasazi petroglyphs carved in the ancient rock wall.

Day Four |
Tuesday, March 4th
Arches National Park 47 miles, 1,200 ft elevation gain.

We are extremely privileged to ride through this gem of the National Park system. We ride on the same road as "Thelma and Louise", "Indiana Jones" and many other Movie-Greats that used this backdrop. There are three climbs on the way out, two of nearly 1,000 feet. Though the top of this ride is only 1200 ft. higher than the start, the climbs in between and incredible rock formations make this challenging ride one of the premiere road tours in the country and exclusive to the Festival. This ride is limited to the first 400 people who register for the 4 Day Festival!

The Moab Valley Tour – The Alternate Route 30 miles, 1,100 ft gain.
Want to feel like a local? Well, this is a ride you will see roadies on all year round. Not as strenuous as the Arches ride, but a great alternative. This one gives you a real flavor of the Moab Valley. You'll begin at Aarchway Inn, and after a short trip to the south end of town you will begin meandering your way gradually up the Moab Valley. Some of you may recognize this ride as the beginning portion of the now famous "Big Nasty" route, used in the Fall for the Moab Century Tour. But no worries, no climbing the big nasty today! However, if you're looking to challenge yourself and feeling strong you may want to go past the designated turnaround point (known as Pack Creek Ranch turn off) and try your skills on the "Little Nasty". You're welcome to give it a try but just remember support vans will be turning around at the designated return spot. When you turn around at the aid station, you will begin your descent back into the town of Moab.
